Company Culture SWOT and Inclusive Communication

We conducted qualitative and quantitative research to understand the needs and motivations behind employee satisfaction and retention. At ABN AMRO, where many employees were nearing retirement age, the impact of reorganization was significant. Excellent employee benefits, including discounts on banking products, were a critical factor, and any changes created additional anxiety among staff.

Talent Development

We joined the project team to ensure the exit strategy was executed correctly and to help place talent within the mobility centre into suitable roles. Created a list of all (potentially) departing employees, detailing their compensation and benefits Documented how the bank intended to manage exits and the settlements agreed upon with unions. Noted talented employees for further research to find appropriate vacancies.

Inclusive Communication

We scheduled exit interviews, developed guidelines and training for these discussions, emphasizing clear, empathetic communication and active listening. Group and individual meetings were organized, ensuring employees had a single point of contact for their queries. Individual meetings were meticulously prepared to ensure departing and talented staff were well informed and supported, with particular attention to their compensation and secondary benefits.

Change Management

Culture development at ABN AMRO Bank requires change management. Our tasks included compiling a list of employees in departure or retention status, performing a gap analysis, and creating an implementation project plan. We managed exit proposals and discussions, providing one-on-one sessions for retention and exit counselling. Coaching was offered to employees, with additional support for those considering internal transfers aligned with their personal aspirations and skills. We carefully reviewed general and individual compensation packages and secondary benefits and developed a comprehensive communication plan, including a Q&A site.
